It is alarming to think that we are leaving our planet in a terrible state for future generations. Human activities are taxing the planets natural resources and generating harmful greenhouse gas emissions. As a business, we like to give our packaging another chance at being useful by making it 100% recyclable, as well as tackling food waste & supporting our suppliers with responsible sourcing.
We’ve made our Stage 1 pouches fully recyclable in 2023! Who knows what its next life could hold? It could come back as something fun, like a fire engine siren. Or a disposable coffee cup. Or a toy they said they really wanted, played with once and then put away in the cupboard for 3-5 years.
In 2019, we were the 1st baby food brand in the UK to launch a bio-based pouch, made up of 80% plant-derived materials rather than petroleum.
We worked hard with suppliers to then launch the EU’s first 100% recyclable pouch, made from mono-material designed to be fully recyclable.
In 2022 we launched our monstrously tasty Piccolo Kids range. 91% of this range is fully recyclable, including the UK’s first recyclable kids cereal bar wrapper.
We are thrilled that our Stage 1 pouches will be fully recyclable kerbside in 2023! We’re not talking pre-paid envelopes that you have to remember to post, but fully, ‘pop-in-your-recycling-bin’ recyclable.

We are passionate about ethically and sustainably farmed food. We source ingredients from family farms as much as possible & have high standards that suppliers have to meet.
We never want to send food to landfill, so we ensure if we’ve made too much that it’s donated through our charity partners. So far we’ve donated 500,000+ meals to families in need.
