As a business originally founded by a family looking for a hand getting good stuff into their kids, we’re here to take something off your plate (while putting something very healthy onto theirs).
When our Cat’s daughter Juliet came on the scene, she wanted to feed her a diet packed with organic fruit & veg, complex carbohydrates and good fats. But the food she found for kids was a sea of beige carbs, sugary snacks and processed funny business. Cat was brought up on a Mediterranean diet eating meals full of organic, nutrient dense ingredients and a whole range of different flavours so she tried out home cooking everything at first.
She soon realised that she had too much on her plate and needed something healthy she could turn to when her hands were full of nappies & muslin cloths rather than pots & pans. Enter Piccolo. Our business was founded on the principle of natural nutritious food for little ones, and became Cat’s second baby from that day forward (well…three kids later it’s now her fourth but she says she still loves us all equally).

Lovingly prepared food is part of Cat’s Mediterranean upbringing. When her daughter, Juliet, arrived on the scene seven years ago, Cat set out to create wholesome and sustainable food for little ones.
So far we’ve donated over 500,000 meals to help support other families. We do this directly to causes or through the different charities we work with below.
